Secondary recipients (Pro and Practice)
How to add a second email address to receive alert copies — available on Pro and Practice plans.
What secondary recipients are
A secondary recipient is an additional email address that receives copies of all alert emails sent from your PenaltyProof account. This is useful when a colleague or a client also needs to be notified, without managing a separate PenaltyProof login.
Which plans include secondary recipients
Secondary recipients require a Pro or Practice plan. On Free and Starter plans the option is not available. You will see an upgrade prompt at /manage if you try to set one on a lower-tier plan.
Adding a secondary recipient
Go to /manage (Account tab → Secondary email). Enter the address and save. A verification email is sent to that address — the recipient must click the link in the email to confirm. Alerts are only copied to verified addresses.
Removing a secondary recipient
Open /manage (Account tab → Secondary email) and remove the address. The secondary recipient is immediately removed and no further alerts are sent to that address.
Transactional vs marketing emails
Secondary recipients receive only alert emails — the same filing-deadline notifications your primary address receives. They do not receive lifecycle emails (welcome, billing receipts, product updates).
Common questions
Can I have more than one secondary recipient?
Currently one secondary email address is supported per account. If you need multiple recipients, the Practice plan's team-seat feature is the recommended approach — each team member has their own login and receives alerts for the companies they are responsible for.
Does the secondary recipient need a PenaltyProof account?
No. The secondary email address receives copies of alerts without needing a PenaltyProof login.
