What we track

PenaltyProof monitors ECCTA identity-verification and authorised-filer readiness dates for companies on your list. Directors and PSCs have identity-verification duties under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023. Authorised-agent filing is a separate readiness concept scheduled no earlier than November 2026.

Alert stages (paid plans)

ECCTA alerts are enabled by default (eccta_alerts_enabled flag). Alert timing is based on the IDV transition window or a configured per-company readiness date. Authorised-filer rows use the same readiness metadata model and source links.

Readiness metadata only

The readiness model stores company, role, source URL, readiness status, evidence-requested timestamp, review timestamp, and internal notes. It does not store personal codes, identity documents, GOV.UK One Login sessions, ACSP evidence packs, presenter IDs, authentication codes, filing credentials, or official verified-status data.

What we do not do

We do not verify identities, act as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), register firms as authorised agents, file Companies House documents or verification statements, check personal codes, or confirm a person's verified status. Companies House does not expose per-director verification status via the public API.

Existing directors and PSCs verify on their company-specific transition timetable. New directors must verify on appointment. Authorised-agent filing is separate and is scheduled no earlier than November 2026.

What configuration is needed for ECCTA alerts?

ECCTA alerts are enabled by default (eccta_alerts_enabled flag). The account-level transition reminder needs no per-company configuration; per-company reminders use the configured readiness date.

Does PenaltyProof verify per-director completion?

No. PenaltyProof stores readiness metadata only. It does not verify identities, act as an ACSP, file verification statements, check personal codes, or confirm official verified status.
