iCal / calendar feeds

How to subscribe to your PenaltyProof deadline calendar in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook.

What the iCal feed contains

Your PenaltyProof iCal feed is a live .ics file containing all upcoming filing deadlines for every company on your watch list. Each event includes the company name, deadline type, and due date. The feed updates automatically — you do not need to re-subscribe when you add or remove companies.

Subscribing in Google Calendar

Open Google Calendar, click the '+' next to 'Other calendars', choose 'From URL', and paste your PenaltyProof feed URL. Google Calendar refreshes subscribed calendars approximately once every 24 hours.

Subscribing in Apple Calendar

In Apple Calendar, go to File → New Calendar Subscription, paste your feed URL, and configure the refresh interval. Set the refresh to 'Every day' so the calendar stays current.

Subscribing in Outlook

In Outlook, go to Add calendar → Subscribe from web, paste your feed URL, and confirm. Outlook refreshes subscribed calendars at a platform-defined interval.

Getting your feed URL

Your iCal feed URL is available in your PenaltyProof account under /manage (Account tab → Calendar). The URL is unique to your account and acts as a token — treat it like a password. You can regenerate the token at any time from the same page, which invalidates the old URL.

Per-company feeds

Alongside the practice-wide feed, a per-company iCal URL is available for each client. This is useful when sharing a single client's deadline calendar with that client directly.

Common questions

How often does the feed refresh?

The feed is live — the .ics file is generated fresh on every request. How frequently your calendar app fetches the URL depends on the app: Google Calendar typically refreshes once per day, Apple Calendar is configurable.

Can I share my feed URL with a colleague?

The feed URL is account-specific and contains a signed token. You can share it, but the person you share it with will see all deadlines for all companies on your account. For team setups, the Practice plan provides separate account credentials.
