Feature status: what is live, gated, or in development

Honest status of each monitoring type — what is live for all accounts, what requires a flag, and what is still in development.

Live for all accounts

Companies House filings (accounts and confirmation statement), Corporation Tax, VAT, Self Assessment (practice-level), CIS monthly returns, P11D, RTI/payroll, pension auto-enrolment, MTD ITSA, and ECCTA identity verification are all live and monitored by default on eligible plans.

Charity Commission annual return — rolling out

Charity Commission annual return monitoring is implemented but gated by the charity_alerts_enabled flag. It requires a Charity Commission API key. This feature is not yet active for all accounts. When it rolls out fully, all accounts with charity clients will be able to monitor Charity Commission return deadlines.

PSC and officer alerts — in development

Person of Significant Control and officer change alerts are implemented but disabled (psc_officer_alerts_enabled flag is off). These require the Celery async pipeline because per-company CH API calls exceed the synchronous HTTP timeout. The feature will be enabled when Celery is provisioned and the pipeline is validated.

Companies House Streaming API — in development

The CH Streaming API consumer (ch_streaming_enabled flag) is implemented but not yet deployed. It would replace the nightly poll-and-diff model with real-time change events. It requires a separate CH stream API key and Celery.

Practice / workspace features — live when configured

Practice plan team logins, seat management, role-based access, and white-label alerts run on the workspace layer, which is enabled by default. Self-serve Practice checkout and per-seat billing additionally require the Practice Stripe prices to be configured; until those are set the Practice tier runs as an early-access waitlist rather than instant checkout. We will announce feature rollouts via the product changelog and by email. You can also check this page — it reflects the current flag state as coded.

Can I request early access to a gated feature?

Contact hello@penaltyproof.co.uk and describe your use case. We cannot guarantee early access but we note all requests when prioritising the rollout order.
