Exporting your data

How to get a copy of the data PenaltyProof holds about your account and monitored companies.

What data we hold

PenaltyProof stores your email address, the companies you monitor (company number, name, configured obligation dates), alert history (which deadlines we have emailed you about and when), and account settings. We do not store your clients' financial records or tax returns.

Requesting a data export (DSAR)

To receive a copy of all personal data we hold, email privacy@penaltyproof.co.uk with the subject 'Data Subject Access Request'. Include the email address registered to your PenaltyProof account. We aim to respond within 30 calendar days as required under UK GDPR. The export covers all PII-bearing tables: your account record, monitored company list, alert history, email send log, and audit log entries.

Company data

Your monitored company list is viewable in the dashboard at /manage (Clients tab). There is no bulk CSV export of company data in the current UI; the DSAR process covers the full list if you need it.

Deletion

See the account-deletion help article for how to request deletion. Deletion soft-removes your data and schedules a hard purge after 90 days.

Common questions

How long does a data export take?

We aim to respond within 30 calendar days. In practice most requests are fulfilled within a few working days.

Can I export my company list as CSV?

CSV export of the monitored company list is not available in the current UI. Contact hello@penaltyproof.co.uk and we can provide the list manually.
